A friend of mine in Korea sent me this link that’s making the rounds on the internet. I believe it’s from a Korean TV program where a woman dressed like a ghost tries to scare unsuspecting people. The last guy’s reaction is awesome…he definitely does what a Korean man should do in that situation. Happy Monday!

What would I do if I saw a ghost? Freak the fuck out, that’s what. It’s weird because neither Chemical Ali nor Megan Fox could convince me of the existence of God, Satan, afterlife, Santa Claus. I’m purely one of those atoms and evolution guys, but tell me there’s a ghost around and I still get creeped. In other words, I’m a big wuss.

why is everybody hatin’ on punchy at the end of the clip? yes, he did hit a girl, which is 99.99999999% never cool. but given the circumstances i believe that he only reacted as any reasonable, sane, and quite likely, very inebriated person would: flinched and screamed like a schoolgirl, then, upon realizing that someone was just trying to scare the crap out of him for the sake of some game show or a youtube video, proceeded to kick the shit out of his tormentor. not saying i condone it, but i can see where he’s coming from.

It’s funny how the stereotypical “ghost” in many Asian cultures is of similar images.
Back in the 70′s I was visiting family in Asia. I was around 10ish. One night, my cousins and I watched one of those “Chinese ghost stories” on TV. There was also a typhoon that night…one of the worst in a while. Around 1-2amish I woke up to the sounds of the wind blowing through the house and the windows rattling and the rain beating hard on the roof. I then also saw a “ghostly woman floating across the outer room” from the corner of my eye. It was difficult to sleep after that, but I eventually managed to doze off. The next morning, I shared what I saw with my relatives and my mom. Turns out the “ghost” was my mom getting up in the middle of the night to close some windows and to use the potty. She was dressed in her WHITE nightgown and her hair and clothes were “flowing” because of the wind. Scared the crap outta me. LOL.
