As I child, I used to see ghosts. This is no joke. My parents used to tell me that I had an overactive imagination every time I came screaming down the hall, fleeing from the sprits of yonder. It was a strange relationship I had with these ghosts. Mostly, they appeared in vivid, healthy, human form, not some ghastly, horrific state of bodily decay or some scary-as-hell manifestation from the bowels of Stephen King’s spooky town. And also, there was no floating around or flying through the air. They would just walk around my room or just stand at my bedside and stare down at me (at first it was pretty damn freaky to have a nightly party of the dead…but after a while you get used to it). You could hear them moving from time to time but oddly enough, they never spoke. I think they wanted to say something, you could see it in their eyes. But they remained silent, just wanting. Perhaps the lack of speech is one of the byproducts for beings who cross from the fringe into the human world. I do not know.

nightly visitors from beyond...take a number
I was visited most when I was very young…right around when I was 2. As I got older, the visits became fewer. By the time I reached about 10 years of age, the paranormal contacts stopped. For many years I wondered why the ghosts stopped showing up. From ages 2-10, my parents convinced me that it was just a result of too much sugar and too many R-rated movies. But now that I am an adult, I am fairly certain that my parents were wrong. I have another theory…
I believe that when a child is born into this world, they are born with a brain free of any limiting human emotions, stresses, and thoughts. There are no walls inhibiting the brain’s ultimate capacities. Science theorizes that adult humans use only about 5 – 10% of the brain’s true potential. That leaves 90-95% unused…and undiscovered. What can that other 90-95% do? If we could truly harness that 90-95% what could we be capable of? Clairvoyance, telekinesis, time travel, dance like Michael Jackson? It is definitely a mystery of the ages but one that every single human being knew the answer to at one point in time but ultimately forgot. Ironic, isn’t it? We were all born with a 100% brain capacity and potential. However, it’s through the installation of traditions, culture, beliefs, yeses, & no’s (ie. growing up) that ultimately whittled our brain and human potential down to a meager 5-10%. So, my theory is that when I was very young and my brain potential was functioning near 100%, I had innate talents and abilities that allowed me to connect with the other side. Or, perhaps, it allowed the other side to connect with me. Who knows. Either way, I no longer have that ability. Check that. I no longer remember how to access that ability. Perhaps it will always remain a mystery to me and be my Flowers For Algernon.
If you could return to full 100% brain operation, what do you think your ability would be or could be?

open your mind...if you can remember how to

It’s would be amazing! At 100% capacity can you imagine the amount of calories you’d burn at that rate? I’d be able to eat like Michael Phelps. And I’m pretty sure I’d be able to process past events with present executions to be able to tell the future.
You know, I’ve always believed that children are more open to things as well. Are imaginary friends truly imaginary?
If I were operating at 100% capacity, perhaps I could figure out how to be more successful in my endeavors. Or at least I could develop the self esteem to not care when I put a lot of time, effort, creativity and money into those efforts and then nobody cares.
Ah, the joys of a life in the arts.
I’m assuming I would have 100% brain capacity but everyone else would remain what they are now? If so, then the answer is simple. I would enslave and rule the world with the amazing abilities and knowledge that would come my way. Kneel before me, bitches!
At that point, the only to do is to be a human guinea pig, come up with the formula with a bunch of scientists re: to how you can use your brain to 100% capacity, and then start making dvds and pitching the book on Oprah. It’s now ‘The Secret (that is a bigger secret than the secret that is no longer a secret.)’
Remembering exactly everything everyone said or did around me because it would help me make more effective decisions about people. That loss always makes me feel like the guy that took interest in Algernon. (Maybe I’m exaggerating.) I can’t help but wonder if I could also pull off Noam Chompsky’s feat of 36 languages at 100%. 31 to go. PWND.
every cell in our physical body has the dna to unlock/remember that potential. the human body emits energy, sound, light measurable scientifically.the body takes 7 yrs to renew every cell (except eggs which females are born with full set, amazing!). trauma, joy, survival, it’s imprinted, so your ancestors had similar strengths, foibles.
if not in this life, blessings in the next that we all remember our full potential source we had/have as infants before our physical journey called the body comes to its final destination.
100%? enlightenment. and props, buddha was an asian brotha!
Interesting, the illustration you posted at the bottom includes the 1st symbol of Reiki attunement “sho ku rei.” BTW, Reiki meditation and practice is one of the ways we can tap into places we once knew in our minds/souls. I think we all shared the same exact abilities when we’re children and were at 100% capacity: a highly developed intuition; an ability to have the “gut feeling.” But more importantly, we have the ability to 100% trust that gut feeling. That’s something I know I have lost over the years. Sometimes it’s something as simple as driving along and my mind flashes in a split second a different route to my destination. Instead of taking it, I drive my normal route…and get stuck in a traffic jam for 45 minutes or more. Meditation may bring us back to a higher level of capacity but I assume it takes consistent, daily practice and a lot of patience.

DUDE…wasn’t it, like, 10-15 years ago that our brains were 20-25% full use?? WOOOWW…R we getteng dummer or wat?
No, seriously, that’s pathetic…I blame cellphones, TMZ & US Magazine – not to mention listening to W’s bullshit for 8 years.
