I’ve often extolled the virtues of semen when it comes to its health benefits, but even I have to admit this is a bit too much:

Yup, it’s the Natural Harvest Cookbook, which is allegedly filled with 61-pages of semen-based recipes like this:

And this:

Now, when I first read about this, I thought it had to be a joke, but it looks like the book has been around for a couple of years and you can order it here for $24.95 (or $9.99 for the e-book). If anyone out there has a copy or plans on purchasing it, definitely let us know what you think. And if you need more convincing to “unload” your hard-earned money to buy this, check out these reader reviews:

I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant at first. But this is a serious culinary book for people who are serious about food. Some of the dishes were “obvious” (hollandaise sauce), while other came as completely delightful releases from the same old thing (veal scaloppini). The dishes are mostly heart-conscious and the protein value is really going to appeal to those looking for a healthier lifestyle. Not to mention that semen contains a good balance of fructose sugars, enzymes, vitamins and minerals. I also appreciated the tips on semem storage (shelf-life etc). I have served guest food with my semen it it before, but not in an “official” recipe, Natural Harvest just reaffirms what I already knew to be true and healthy.

This book is absolutely wonderful. Not only do I use semen for my skin supplements but now my diet contains at least one to two semen meals a day. I feel my youth returning after every meal. I’m refreshed and it takes me back to my days in high school. Here’s one of my favorite meals: MAN MADE OYSTERS – I like to call this recipe “Phil’s Tangy Tonsil Surprise” Cleaned oyster shells Chilled fresh semen (preferably from 18 an year-old), the more the better! Ice Lemon and pepper garnish First clean the oyster shells in cold water. Do not use soap since the shell easily absorbs the nasty taste of soap. Spoon the chilled, fresh semen into each shell. Serve simply on ice with just a squeeze of fresh lemon and maybe a grind of black pepper. Chef’s note: A true semen connoisseur might forego the lemon and pepper in favor of the salty semen flavor. For a richer flavor try semen from geriatrics.

And the official description of the book itself:

Semen is not only nutritious, but it also has a wonderful texture and amazing cooking properties. Like fine wine and cheeses, the taste of semen is complex and dynamic. Semen is inexpensive to produce and is commonly available in many, if not most, homes and restaurants. Despite all of these positive qualities, semen remains neglected as a food. This book hopes to change that. Once you overcome any initial hesitation, you will be surprised to learn how wonderful semen is in the kitchen. Semen is an exciting ingredient that can give every dish you make an interesting twist. If you are a passionate cook and are not afraid to experiment with new ingredients – you will love this cook book!

But the most compelling reason to purchase this product? You can invite friends over for a dinner party and casually leave the book out where everyone can see it while you cook and serve your meal. Cookbook: $24.95. Your guests’ reactions: priceless.
