Helping out the Big Boys

  • February 8, 2010 11:17 am

As much as I hate contributing to blatant promotions of multi-billion dollar corporations (I guess then I’m cool with subtle ones), I can’t help it when it comes to Super Bowl ads. I’ve been fascinated ever since I saw Apple’s one time only ‘Lemmings’ commercial as a kid.

And since I’m always up for anything Betty White, we’ll begin with her latest masterpiece:

Judging by the feedbacks, this year’s standout commercials were pretty much unanimous. Joining the Snickers spot are ones for Letterman…

Confused about Leno/O’brien drama? The Taiwanese can help…

  • January 20, 2010 10:06 am

In less than two minutes, the Chinese Taiwanese managed to encapsulate and dramatize the whole Leno/O’Brien/NBC fiasco in a way that America never could.  Was that really a cartoony Jimmy Kimmel hurling turds at a Hulk Conan and Superman Leno?  Gotta love the Taiwanese…

An Open Letter… to NBC’s Upper Management

I don’t work for NBC.  So I get to say whatever I want to say.

If this is a publicity stunt (and I don’t put it past you that you wouldn’t do that to us- the American Public), it sucks balls.

Are you seriously getting rid of CONAN O’BRIEN?????  Are you INSANE?  You want to keep LENO and shove off the Great Conan-do?  What drug are you guys on?  Sure, Conan’s humor has been branded as hyper and frenetic, but as a thirty-something, that’s what I grew up on. It’s all about taking chances and looking the fool and yet accepting yourself.  WOW.  What a positive approach to life.  We should teach it to our children!  I LOVE it.

Confused about the late night TV drama?

By far, this has been the best explanation.

I would’ve used Joe’s pizza myself.
