Nicholas Cage as TOMMY BOY
Poor Nicholas Cage. The guy is bankrupt and is being sued for millions. I guess that’s the reason why he’s working like a mad dog, booking every film left and right. I just saw a trailer for his turn as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a Disney tentpole that is based on, yes, the Fantasia short with Mickey Mouse. Granted, there is some interesting stuff with him in it including Kick Ass, and is recent work Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. If you haven’t seen this film, you have to. One of the best of the year. Anyway, Cage has a reputation for playing maniacal, offbeat characters with changing hairlines, depending on the film’s genre.
