I’ve always thought that the token asian characters on television had the bad wrap. Well they do but so do other minorities. And Andre from this first video shows how Lost and Heroes hate black people. That’s right, hate! But I bet if we were in China, the first guy to die on my tv series would be the white guy ie. minority. Sorry Andre, Tyler Perry can’t write and direct every tv show and movie. All I can say is that at least you have an awesome commercial by Old Spice starring a black guy. Be proud of that.

Its funny because it true. I stopped watching Heroes after the black guy gets shot in the club for his wife (which is stereotype within itself i.e. black man getting shot in the club) and after Hiro’s father died, Hiro and Ando get downgraded to the comic relief of the show despite being the most interesting characters.
Lost has a black presence
it’s in the form of smoke and goes around killing people as violently as possible
sigh…
The network wouldn’t let you kill the white guy. You ever heard of a celebrity named Da Shan? (Big Mountain) A Canadian who made it huge in China solely on account of his ability to speak Mandarin. The minorities would still die first!

Hmm. I’m part of the minority who has never watched either of these series. I usually wait til the shows are cancelled and then I rent the box set and watch everything in a marathon weekend.
But I gotta tell you, I DIGGGGGGGG that commercial!!!! I sure as hell love the black man my man could smell like!!!!
Not a Lost or Heroes fanboy.
I still think Santa Claus is going to popup in Lost….and I only know that because my wife watches the show occasionally…..if she can ever figure out or remember the constantly changing schedule. Yeah, she wears the TV-remote pants in the family….shares it with our daughter.
[...] If you haven’t seen it yet, you will. Sesame Street makes a funny. I didn’t learn much, not the letter “Q” or what “near” and “far” meant, but I sure like their writing staff. To check out the original, see Anson’s post. [...]
