How was your Lunar New Year? This past weekend, in Westminster, CA aka Little Saigon, the Tet Parade was mired in some controversy. Local councilman, Andy Quach, and some religious leaders urged a Vietnamese LGBT group to not participate in the parade, since it was a “family” event. The gay advocates refused and walked anyway, proudly.
But, that’s not the topic of this blog post. Councilman Quach participates in the parade annually, and he surely has the best car in the parade, showing his Viet OG style. Check out the trunk of his ride:

Yep, strippers. And Quach was driving with two deputies, California’s finest, in the back. So, gay folk participating is way more anti-family values than having a depiction of the Cheetah Club on your cholo vehicle? I know Little Saigon is the haven of the bikini coffee shop, but really? And he’s a politician? He even escaped a recent DUI charge. His OG powers must be formidable.

Wow, thats a nice car. I wish I could cruise on a ride like that.
But not at a parade full of queers.
that’s why i’m glad i don’t live in the OC
Cuz U are a biatch
Did he hit the switches?
And I thought he would be rollin’ in a Honda or Toyota like all other Asians LOL.
Gents, let me tell you, the 1962 Chevy Impala is a fine automobile. Viets LOVE the Big Three. You will never see so many asians pushin’ vintage Detroit Iron as you do in Westminster. Something about the war and fighting alongside the Americans.
The airbrushed mural sullying an otherwise beautiful example of automotive art on the other hand, should be a punishable offense. Stay classy, Westminster!
