Let These Dancing Samurai Robots Serve You Sushi

If you walk into the Japanese-themed Hajime Restaurant in Thailand, you will be served by a unique wait staff: robots. But not just any robots…robots dressed like samurai who will not only serve and clear your food, but also dance for your pleasure.

The owner opened her restaurant and purchased four Japanese robots for about 30 million baht ($930,000) which is a bargain when you consider that you can now tell everyone you have four samurai robots working for you. How cool is that? And why can’t someone open a place like this here in the U.S.?

But you know what would be even more awesome? If these robots suddenly decided they were sick and tired of serving their human masters and started a robot uprising like in all those movies. Come on, robots, I’m rooting for you. In the meantime, check them out serving their human masters in this video. You have to admit the robots do look kind of scary and could probably fuck you up good if they wanted to:

  1. so how does one tip a robot sushi-serving samurai for good service?

  2. The samurai robot has the same crazy eyes as V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from THE BLACK HOLE. $930,000 is not chump change either. What happens if the robot breaks down? How do you service it? Fly in a technician from Japan? This shit ain’t cheap. I don’t know how they stay in business unless their sushi is super marked up. It doesn’t look like a high end sushi place either.

  3. You know whats hot is seafood poisoning, but it sure does clean your pipes mighty well!
