I don’t care if you’ve seen this 100 times, it is a beautiful clip of humanity at its most complex.

{Update 1.25.10: Apparently, NBC Universal keeps pulling off this particular clip off the internet.  I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because it makes NBC look bad for firing such an appreciative man.  If  anything, here’s a written excerpt of his goodbye speech.  He’s simply amazing, no matter how much NBC tries to hide that or how much people may put him down.  I’ll go fists to cuffs for him.]

Conan has been my late-night friend since 2000.  He has cheered me up while I lied around in flannel pajamas eating pretzel ice cream and crying over a doomed relationship.  On the other hand, he has distracted me while I was having sex.  (“Wait, wait hon, I want to hear what Conan’s saying.”)  In any case, Conan tore my heart with this last clip.  It was gracious.  It was present.  It was open and vulnerable and positive.  This is why I can love a man who’s not necessarily the most physically attractive man in the world: because he has the character of a prince.  (And if you don’t believe me, the Successful Blog thinks Conan’s pretty special too!)

I love you, Conan!!!! 4EVR!  TCCIC! 143 CONAN! F.R.A.N.C.E!
