Not that it’s different from any other time, but my blog tonight offers no insight, enlightenment or even entertainment value—mild or otherwise. In fact, I offer no more than an ode to this…

The filet mignon pho at Noodle Guy.

Is this the best pho in Los Angeles? I don’t think I’m qualified to make such a bold proclamation, but my fellow Offender Anderson has proclaimed it thus. And as a connoisseur of fine dining who is also of Vietnamese descent—if he proclaims it thus, then I am inclined to believe that thus it is.

In fact, it is Anderson who kindly introduced the YOMYOMF gang to the joys of Noodle Guy not too long ago and it has become one of our regular haunts—just a few thankfully short minutes from our South Pasadena office.

And tonight (yes, we have just returned from a Noodle Guy expedition), our meal consisted of what has become our go-to dish–the filet mignon pho with the beef on the side:

With a side order of the shrimp spring rolls:

With the possible exception of pizza, if there is one food item I could eat everyday, it may very well be pho.

Long live, pho! And long live, Noodle Guy! Yes, life is indeed good, my friends. Pho-king good, you might say.
