Finally, a voice of reason in the wilderness. Last Tuesday The Reverend Pat Robertson, on his television program “The 700 Club,” finally cleared up the question of how AIDS made the jump from gays to straights. (in the clip below, “the stuff” is Robertson-ese for AIDS)
So next time you see a gay person walking down the street, you have three, no four, options: 1) cross the street; 2) put on your haz mat suit; 3) call your local homicide detective…
…or, as the reverend himself advises,
4) “Go back to your church, you’re fine.”
Robertson later released a comment saying that his remarks – wait for it – “had been misunderstood.”
Of course they were. What he meant to say was that in addition to deliberately infecting people with AIDS using James Bond knife-rings, gays can also infect you with the invisible homo beams they shoot out of their eyes. So, just as a precaution, you might also want to avoid eye contact as well as handshakes.
