I remember Better Luck Tomorrow coming out when I was in high school in orange county and it was really unprecedented. Glad to know that the movement goes even further back. Anyone know where I can get a copy of Sunsets and Strawberry Fields? Netflix doesn't seem to have either at the moment. Wow, this was a great history lesson in Asian-American cinema. (I was only 5 years old at the time too, Roger.) But I remember how awesome it was that these were asian faces who didn't speak with accents or come from some mythical faraway place.
