I loved Legos as a kid. Probably my all-time favorite toys. And if the young me were still alive today and had to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas, it might very well be this:

Yup, a Lego set based on the great 2004 zombie flick Shaun of the Dead.

Only problem is this product doesn’t actually exist. At least not in our universe. And like me, perhaps your reaction to that is—why? After all, there seems to be Legos based on every other property from Star Wars:

To Spiderman:

And everything in-between.

Well, it turns out it’s because Lego doesn’t make toys based on gory R-rated horror flicks. But reality’s loss is Yatkuu’s gain. That’s the name of the person who created the Shaun-inspired Legos (and you can see all of his Lego artwork here) and he did it the old-fashioned way: made it from scratch.

See, when I was a kid, there were no Star Wars Legos or Lord of the Rings Legos or Harry Potter Legos or whatever. Nope, all I had was a bucket full of random Lego blocks and it was up to you to create whatever you could imagine. As cool as the themed Legos are now, I have to say I prefer the old school method, where you could take a random bucket full of blocks and make something fresh and original like this:

And that’s what Legos are all about! Now, if someone would only invent a Lego set based on My Dinner with Andre.
