A lazy Friday requires a photo of a fat, fat cat.
Chubby is from Qingdao, a coastal city in eastern China (where Tsingtao beer comes from). Her head is so heavy, she can’t lower it to eat out of her food bowl. Her owner, Xu Jirong, puts meals on a raised plank.
This cat cannot be in China. for such an el gato gordo would have been eaten already. unless, of course, there are dogs around. dogs are eaten first. cats second…
If I had a cat like that, I’d chuckle every single time I see it. Then I’ll salivate.

While she looks surprised, she doesn’t look sheepish. I’d like to think she OWNS her plumpness. Plus there are probably male cats out there who’re into this sort of thing – y’know, feline Chubby Chasers.
i went to a guy’s apartment once, and was immediately hit with the lingering smell of urine. then i saw his two cats, who were just as huge as the one above. they were super obese and had cat diabetes, hence the piss smell. it was weird.

It’s not true everyone in China eats cats and dogs. There are Chinese people who eat these animals but there are also Chinese people who love their pets and treat them well. In this cat’s case, maybe she’s treated too well!
Poor the cat.
She may suffer alot.
