I found this so humorous from The Daily Beast: Young Sarah Palin went to four colleges including Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, which she and a friend only lasted for one semester. According to her insightful tome Going Rogue, Palin writes: “Hawaii was a little too perfect. Perpetual sunshine isn’t necessarily conducive to serious academics for eighteen-year-old Alaska girls.”
Yeah, right. According to The New Republic, it is learned that Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, gave a different account to [Scott] Conroy and [Shushannah] Walshe (authors of another bio, ‘Sarah From Alaska’). According to him, the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders made her uncomfortable: “They were a minority type thing and it wasn’t glamorous, so she came home.”
This is just too rich. I bet the young Sarah at the time was confused, thinking to herself: “Wait a darn heck of a minute… I thought we beat the Japs in World War II? How come they’re still here?”
(Thanks Collin, for sending in this story.)

That’s true for most people though. Take anyone out of their original background and make them a minority in a new place, and that would make him or her uncomfortable.
perhaps being able to see China from Waikikii made her nervous
As if I needed another reason to despise her. You betcha!
lol @Roger’s comment
But you guuuuyyyys, Todd is 1/32nd Eskimo so she knows ALL ABOUT how oppressed slanty-eyed indigenous peoples are. It’s true cause she said so on the campaign trail!
P.S. I’d still hit that though.
Sarah obviously came home cause she couldn’t deal with the Yellow Fever that made her loins tremble!
Go wasabi, Alaska girl!
Collin
When I was in Alaska in ’08, several locals told me that Alaskans love Hawaii because of they’re similar kick-back lifestyles. Maybe it doesn’t apply to their rich and sheltered Wasilla residents.

You Hawaiians are the biggest bunch of bigots I have ever met anywhere in the world I lived on Oahu for a year and now I know what it is like to be a second class citizen.
