I’m only 33. But when I hear songs from the 1980s -my childhood- on the oldies station, I sure do feel old!
I felt old at 20, but everyone compliments my youth and vitality by treating me like a child. I think I got the best of both worlds.

especially the Smoking thing. Smoking – it’s the silent killer that you think is your friend until too late. it’s amazing. feels so good so quick…a blissful vacation in a 3 inch stick. can’t see the damage because it’s more parabolic than linear over the course of time. one day you wake up and you see you’re skin’s aged 20 years. OR, you have a persistent cough that won’t go away even after you quit. then, when you have a kid, you can’t run and play with the child cause your lung capacity is at 2% at age 42 so you just have to watch. smoking – it’s the ultimate life metaphor.
i was dealt the “old” card 2 years ago when my 10 year old nephew & niece looked over at me and said, “Uncle Roger, you’re so not cool.” after that, my hair turned grey and my ball sack dropped 2 inches
When I realized I was older than professional athletes.
when i went to a concert and i ran into my sister, who’s 15 years younger than me…
when a cougar called me “daddy”
i consider myself to be pretty young (i just turned 21) except when i look at korean pop artists and realize that most are under 20 and 30 is considered ancient.
I felt old at 25, when I realized all the hip young singers and movie stars were younger than me.
I’m 25 and feel so young, my old pair of jeans still fit on my thighs and butt like i’m 20 y/o.
When I had young kids calling me “Ma’am”.
